      The many small, fine details of the mamalila rain jacket, can transform a simple functional jacket into a thought through mother-child jacket. For example, at the top end of the baby insert is a snap fastener which can be closed to protect against the rain or left open so that baby can lay its head directly on moms chest. Moreover, the hem, sleeves and hood are all individually adjustable so that everything stays really dry – this is weather proof babywearing clothing!

      Head protection made to measure

       

      Kids and hoods can be a difficult subject, especially if the hood does not fit properly, slips and covers the eyes. The baby hood on this mamalila babywearing jacket therefore has an enlarged cutaway and special folding panels with which the hood can be gradually folded out depending on how much wind and rain protection is needed. Thus eliminating what could be dangerous cord stoppers near to the baby.

      Many babies fall asleep while being worn and can no longer hold their own heads. The babywearing insert of the rain jacket has therefore an integrated head support function. In the pockets on the baby hood two straps are stowed, which can be fastened with a click onto the two snaps of the mothers’ hood and tightened as needed. The thus fixed hood stabilizes the head, because often when the jacket is closed, and especially in the rain, the head support function of the baby carrier can no longer be accessed.
